He is also former graduate assistant at Delta State University and previously served as a volunteer assistant at ECCC. Yarborough was a member of the 1991 and 1992 Diamond Warrior squads and played at Delta State during the 1993 and 1994 seasons. He was selected to the Division II College World Series Team in 1994. He is a graduate of Union High School, ECCC and DSU, where he received a bachelor's degree in business administration and a master's degree in education.
