The pre– sentation oonsists of an opening introduction followed by an actu– al perlormance of the Variations and Toccata Willoughby is a native of Rayville, La. She received the bachelor and master of music degrees in piano perlormance from Mississippi College in Clin· ton. She studied piano with RalphTaylor and held a graduate assistantship in teaching and accompanying. While at MC, she was awarded the B.G. WaldenMemorialSchol– arship for music. In 1900, she won both solo and ooncerto divisions of the Mississippi Music Teach– ers Association state competi– tion. In 1991. she was the co-win– :'1 .. of th~> ~~ nroe S•mphonv Ore e:ma sYoung Artist Compe– tition and perlormed with the Monroe (La.) Symphony. She oompleted the Doctor of . tusicalArts degree in piano per– fc ;nance at Louisiana State Uni– \'L."'Sity, studying piano with Mil– ton Hallinan and Jack Guerry.
