Maj. Gen. Denver Brackeen Services for Maj. Gen. Denver Brackeen will be held Wednesday, May 31 at 2 p.m. at Decatur United Methodist Church with Revs. Johnny Crosby, Hank

Winstead, Billy Owen, and Frank Kirtley officiat– ing. Burial will be in UnioJ;l City Cemetery with Stephens Funeral Home of Union in charge of arrangements.

· Mr. Brackeen, 75, of Union, died Monday, May 29, 2006, in his home.

Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Wells Brackeen of Union; a son, Morgan Brackeen of Union; grandchildren, Jonathan, Sable, Dillon and Ashlee Brackeen; a brother, W. M. Brackeen Jr. and wife Berniece; mother-in-law, Etli.el Wells, several aunts and uncles, nieces & nephews and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by a son, Charlie Wells Brackeen in 2001 and his parents, William Sr. & Vera Brackeen. Memorial contributions can be madt!. to the Denver Brackeen Scholarship Fun·d a t East Central Community College in Decatur.
