EC PR staff wins awards East Central Community College's Public Information Department won honors at the annual College Public Relations Association of Mississippi meeting held May 22- 23 at Sam's Town in Robinsonville. Bubby Johnston, left, vice president for public information, won a Judges' Choice award in the news category for his article, "ECCC Truck Driving Student Posts Perfect Score on Exam." Assistant Maria McLeod won first place in the sports story competition for her entry, "One Year Later, Fortenberry Back on the Mound." They also received a second-place award in the newsletter competition for the EC Express, which is sent three times annually to juniors and seniors h1 the College's five-county district.
