In women's action, the Lady War– riors easily won their sixth-straight contest by trouncing the Pearl River women 76-61. With the win , the East Central women improved to 13-5 overall and 6-1 in league play and a game behind division leader Copiah-Lincoln, whose record stands at 7-0 following Monday night's 75-56 victory over Jones County. LaSaundra Harrison of Union had J 9 points to lead the EC offense. With the win. Pearl River improved to 12-6 overall but more importantly moved to 6-1 in division play while East Central slipped to 14- 4 and 5-2. Paul Milligan, a product of Chilli– cothe High School in Vernon, TX', was the top scorer for East Central with 13 points. Also scoring were Andre Coleman of Louisville and Earnesto Green of Jackson Provine, seven each; Ricardo Alcantar of Newton County and John– ny Hodge of Quachita Parish HS in Monroe, La., six each; Pierre Barlow of Scott Central, five; Coshune Bing– ham of Newton and Sam Walton of Jackson Lanier, four each; and Bryan Johnson of Jackson Provine, one. Wesley Jones, a freshman from Beatrice, Ala., pumped in 30 points to lead the Wildcats. East Central trailed 35-25 at half– time.
