Decatur Lions donates to Boggan Scholarship The Decatur Lions Club recently made a $500 donation to the Dr. Austin P. Boggan Scholarship at East Central Community College The origmal endowment was made in 1998 by family and friends of Dr. Boggan, who was a Decatur physician for over 40 years and a longtime member of the Lions Club. The scholarship is awarded annually to a freshman pre-medicine major from the College's five– county district Lions Club presi<;ient Joe Barrett (fourth from left) 1s shown presenting the check to Boggan's widow Iris Boggan (third from left).
