East Central Community College n Decatur has named its new mamte– tance complex in honor of former Jhysical plant director Chnton ~ussell ofDecatur,announced ECCC President Dr. Phil A. Sutphin. The facility is now known as The F. Clinton Russell Physical Plant Complex and is located on College property formerly utilized by the Mississippi Army Guard, DET I , HHBl-204, on Hwy 15. Dr. Sutphin said part of the com– plex - where the old annory was located- will continue to be known as the Major General W. P. (Pat) Wil,on Building. Wilson served as coach. dormitory supervisor, teacher and National Guard officer at then East Central Juruor College, from 1933 to 1940. He also experienced a distin– guished military career capped by his service as Adjutant General of thl! Mis~issippi National Guard Aceremony to officially name the facility i!!. scheduled at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. May 9, following the regu Jar monthly meeting of the College's Board of Trustees, whtch approved the measure at its March meeting. The public is invited to anend the dedication program. She is married to George Hayes and they have two children, Hunter, 18. a senior at Newton County High School and Joy, 16, a junior at NCHS. They reside in Decatur.
