Scholarsh·p established • 10 me of Davi A scholarship has been established at East Cen· tral Community College in Decatm· in memory of longtime faculty member Ron Davis. Davis, who taught biolo· gy, lOology, and anatomy and physiolog;' for 19 years and served 10 years as Science Division Chair man. lost his two-year bat– tle with cancer at age 50 on April2l, 2006. The Aaron R. Davis Memorial Scholarship will be awarded annually to a sophomore majoring in science, with sper.ial consideration given to majors in the medical field. The scholarslup recipient will be chosen by the ECCC Science Faculty. In addition to his teach· mg duties. Davis served as sponsor of Sigma Sigma Mu Tau, an organization for students interested in health careers. He also mentored many students as they prepared for their chosen professions.
