Berryhill and the college. At 75, Berryhill has lived a full life and is not planning on slowing down anytime soon. After graduating from the University of Okla– homa with a petroleum degree, Berryhill worked in the oil industry for 25 years. That brought him to Mississippi. He lived in Hattiesburg when the oil business crashed in the mid-1980s. "I had my own business and I lasted more than most," Berryhill said. "But I fmally had to retire." After taking some time off, Berryhill went to work for Wal-Mart and that brought him to the Coast. He also went back to school and became quali– fied to teach geography on the junior college level. "I already had a Masters degree, but I took some courses at USM in geogra– phy," Berryhill said. "I could get a Masters in geography, but have never done it." He also has his real estate license and still has property listed on the Coast. He is currently working to get his broker license.
