EC Lady Warriors 7-2 heading to holiday break Special to The Record Basketball competition for 2006 ended on a positive note for the East Central Community College Lady Warriors and Warriors who posted their second "sweep" of Northeast Mis– sissippi Community Col– lege squads with easy wins Thursday night in the Brackeen-Wood Physical Education Building in Decatur. Tanesha Brown, a fresh– man guard from Jackson Provine, pumped in 20 points for the ECCC women who outscored the Lady Tigers by a 93-69 mar– gin and improved to 7-2 under second-year head coach Billy Smith. Also scoring for EC were Andrea Dubose of Newton County, 19; Valerie Harris of Lake, 15; Alisa Matlock of Carthage, 10; Carlena Clemons of Union and Katherine Taylor of Carthage, eight each; Tawaytha Evans of New– ton, four; Jordan Patterson of Oak Hill Academy and Tamika Triplett of Sebastopol, three each; Chotsani Henderson of Newton, two; and Erin Watkins of Newton Coun– ty Academy. one. EC led -15·32 at halftime. The Lady Warriors also defeated Northeast 70-56 earlier in the season on the Booneville campus.
