4. The President reviews the preliminary recommendation of the two candidates and makes the final decision pending Board of Trustees approval. a. The President, at his/her discretion, may choose to interview one or both of the recommended candidates prior to selecting an applicant to recommend to the Board of Trustees. b. In the event of non-concurrence, the President will forward written reasons for the rejection to the Selection and Interview Committee via the Vice President for Instruction. c. Otherwise, the President will select one of the two recommended applicants and present the recommendation to the Board of Trustees for final action. d. The President or his designee will discuss matters of salary, benefits, housing, etc., with the recommended applicant. a. Copy of the Position Opening Announcement; b. List of all applicants for the position with sex and race indicated and status of the applications; c. List of all applicants interviewed with the dates of the interviews and each applicants’ strengths and weaknesses; d. Copy of the recommendation of two applicants as signed by the members of the Selection and Interview Committee and all other appropriate parties; e. Copy of the Board of Trustees resume and recommendation with the date of approval indicated. 5. Files for all newly filled positions will be established to include the following:
