6. In periods of severe weather, occupants are responsible for taking the necessary precautionary steps to protect the property. 7. The College provides insurance on the property. This does not cover the loss of personal items in case of fire, theft, or personal liability. Each occupant should take the necessary steps to prevent fire or theft and to provide for personal loss in either case. 8. Occupants cannot paint or make any alterations to the property without first receiving proper approval from the Vice President for Business Operations and Superintendent of the Physical Plant. 9. Occupants shall be financially responsible for excessive wear and tear to the property. Inspections for excessive wear and tear will be made prior to final payment on the fulfillment of the employee’s contract.
