Policy No: 704 Policy Contact: Vice President for Business Operations Policy Title: APPOINTMENTS AND EMPLOYMENT PROCEDURES FOR NON-TEACHING INSTITUTIONAL SUPPORT STAFF (HOURLY PERSONNEL) Applicants for hourly positions must submit an application for employment. Prospective hourly employees are interviewed by the supervisor of the vacant position. The supervisor makes recommendations for the employment of hourly employees to his/her appropriate supervisor, then to the appropriate Vice President, and then to the Vice President for Business Operations. Final approval of the employment of hourly employees is made by the President. The employment of hourly employees does not require Board of Trustees’ approval. The Vice President for Business Operations maintains the official personnel files for all hourly employees with copies of the payroll files maintained in the Business Office.
