Community invited to ECCC's 2nd Warrior Wonderland Dec. 2

Following the tree-lighting ceremony, visitors will have a variety of activities to choose from. Several Enst Contra! Com munity College and local mu sicians will be performing on the music stage. There will be a Selfies with Santa station, children's movies on a large inflatable screen, a Missis sippi National Guard Avenger military vehicle that guests can maneuver, a Christmas Village display, and various specialty, food, and drink booths sponsored by ECCC student organizations. A $5 armband will provide unlimited access to a train ride, inflatables, pirate ship, swings, laser tag and other areas for children young and old. The first Warrior Wonder land was beld in December 2014. Last year's event was postponed so that the college could devote its full support

to the Warrior football team's participation in the C.H.AM.P.S. Heart of Texas Bowl in Copperas Cove, Texas, East Central's first bowi trip in 19 years. "This event helps fulfill an Institutional Commitment in our 2020 Vision for the col lege to engage in collabora tive and innovative partnerships with our local communities, and what better season of the year to do this than Christmas," said East Central Community College president Dr. Billy Stewart. "We hope everyone will come out and enjoy the activities and fun our campus commu nity has planned for this spe cial holiday evening at East Central." East Central Community College invites area resjdents to get into the Christmas spirit by attending the second annual Warrior Wonderland Friday, Dec. 2, on the campus in Decatur. The special celebration of Christmas will begin immedi ately following the Decatur Christmas Parade, about 6:30 p.m., and conclude by 8:30 p.m. Warrior Wonderland will kick off with a fireworks dis play, followed by a ceremony to light the East Central · Christmas tree on the front lawn of campus near the Vin cent Administration Building.
