Amis awarded scholarship

Jonathan Amis (seated), a former golf standout at Newton County High School, is shown signing a na– tional letter of intent to continue his career in 2013-14 at East Central Community College in Decatur. Amis was an All-District selection and twice won medalist and co-medalist honors in local competition. He was also recognized for having the lowest scoringaverage in 2013 on the Cougar golf team. Also pictured are his mother, Cheryl Amls, and EC golf coach Chris Clark. The new Warrlor golfer ls also the son of George Am.ls.
