ECCC Warrior.Golf Classic set June 27

Scholarships for East Central Community College students will again be the top prize win– ner when the annual Warrior Golf Classic is held this week at the Dancing Rabbit Golf Club in Choctaw. The four-person scramble is scheduled for Thursday, June 27 on the Azaleas Golf Course. Registration begms at 9 a.m. and will be followed by a shot gun start at 10 a.m. Sponsored by the ECCC Alumni Association, the .12th annual event provides funding for student scholarships. "The Warrior Golf Classic provtdes much-needed and appreciated scholarshtps for East Central students," said tour– nament coordinator Dr Stacey Holhngsworth who serves as executive director for founda– tion and alumni relations. "Since the tournament began in 2001, more than $40,000 in scholarships has been awarded to students who reside in our five-county district. We certainly appreciate the support received for the tournament the past 11 yean. and encouraJ,te others to part1c1pate in this worthwhile event."
