Patterson scores well in tourney

SCOTISBORO, Ala. - Shelby Patterson of Forest represented East Central Community College in the 2012-13 NJCAA Division II National Golf Tournament, held May 21-24 on the Goose Pond Colon) golf course in Scottsboro, Ala. Patterson recorded rounds of 83, 83, 82 and 86 for a 331 total in the four-day event.

The Forest High School product qualified to compete in the national tourname.nt fol– lowing his selection on the NJCAA All-Regton 23 Division ll Team. Patterson posted rounds of74 and 7~ for a 152 t~tal in leading the Warrior golf team to a third-place ftrush in the region competition held April 22-23 at the Danc– ing Rabbit Golf Club in Choctaw. ECCC served as tournament host. "I cannot express adequately how proud I am of Shelby in making the All-Region Team and earning the privilege of participating in the NJC~ G?l~ Tourna– ment. It is an opportunity that not many tndlV!duals get to experience.
