ECCC led 17-10 going into halftime and had a chance to win in regulation, but Beau Hannahs 52-yard field goal attempt failed as time ran out. The Warriors threatened early as Maurice Langston returned the opening kickoff 64 yards to the Eagle 27, but a fum– ble halted .be drive at the 17. Hinds went up 7-0 on a !– yard keeper by Jarrod Fleming to cap a six-play, 64-yard dtive. The Warriors closed to within 7-3 on a 26-yard field goal by Hannah with 1:33 to go in the opening period. Langston got the touchdown on a 2 2 - yard run. He also had runs of 18 and 10 yards on the drive J-~mds puJied even at 17-17 late m the third quarter on a I4- yard run by Anton Taylor. For the game, Williams completed 7-of-16 passes for 62 yards. Jacob Massey was 2- of-6 for 35 yards. Parham caught three passes for 34 yards.
