Lions, Warrior look to finish regular season on winning note

By Brandon Walker assistant sports editor After a disappointing strE>lch run of the 2007 season, both East Mis– sissippi Community College and East Central will look to end their season on a winning note this weekend. The Lions. who were eliminated from postseason contention last week, will look to finish the year with a winning record in MACJC North division play, traveling to divi– s ion-leading Itawarnba. which enters this week atop the division standings with a 5-0 mark against North opponents. On the other side of the ledger. the Warriors of East Central will look to avoid ending the season on a sour note, hosting Coahoma in hopes of napping a six-game lo~mg skid. For the Warriors, the losing streak began after a 2-0 start to the regular season following back-to– hack wins over EMCC and Missis– sippi Delta.
