ECCC honors Wood ... East Central Community College instructor and former women's basketball coach Lucille Wood, center, was honored during Homecoming festivities on Oct. 4 by members of her women's club teams. Wood organized a reunion of the women who played on basketball, volleyball and ten– nis club teams at East Central Junior College from 1956 to 1975 and presented them with var– sity letters. In turn, they presented her with a bouquet of roses and a commemorative pillow signed by the players. Club team members who presented the gifts were Lois Blount Cooper (left) of Decatur and Peggy Nickell McQueen of Little Rock, Ark.
