Philly-Neshoba Vo-Tech Center celebrates 20 years

PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia– Neshoba Yo-Tech Center marked 20 years of service to the community in October. The VcrTech Center was established in 1983 as a division of East Central Community College in Decatur in cooper– ation with the Philadelphia Separate School District and the Ncshoba County School District. It ofl'ers professional instructton in six career areas for students in grades IOth through 12th. Iligh school cour~es oncred include allied health. automotive sen ice technolof,ry. business and computer tech– nology. clothing-apparel-textile manage– ment production. metal trades and technol– ogy applications. The center also otTers college credit courses through East Central Community College. CEU credit courses for adults and . GED testing. · In addition. the Center houses ECCC's Workforce Development Producti\ ity Enhancement Lab, which provides start– up training for industry and industrial training as needed.
