A graduate o£ North Pike High School in Summit. Boyd earned an associate of arts degree from Southwest Mississippi Community College, a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Southern Mississippi, and both a master of arts and a n educational specialist degree from Mississippi State University. She is married to Dock Boyd who is a funeral director at Barham Funeral Home in Meridian.
