Hinds held a 9--shot lead over second place Pearl River Junior College going into today's final round of the annual Mississippi Junior College golf tournament at Briarwood Country Club here. The Eagles were at 312 while Pearl River stood at 323. In a tie for third were the host Meridian Junior College Eagles and Gulf Coast at 332, 20 shots back of the leading team.

East Central of Decatur was next at 359 and Southwest of Summit was at 363. Leading Meridian was Phillip Simmons with a 3.-over par 75 on Monday. Other MJC scores saw Colton Tisdale with an 84, Weber Pharis at 90, Ken Ezell at 86 and Barry Brown at frl. The final round was played to– day, the results of which were too late for the Star's deadline.
