E.8 ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT TO THE SUPERINTENDENT OF THE PHYSICAL PLANT General Statement of the Function : To serve as the Administrative Assistant in the Office of the Superintendent of the Physical Plant and perform those duties and functions normally associated with an administrative assistant position. These general duties and functions will include office duties such as typing, filing, computer operations, data collection, purchase order preparation, inventory control, etc.

Duties and Responsibilities :

1. Process work requests; 2. Maintain the College’s fixed assets inventory records; 3. Prepare purchase orders; 4. Process leave requests for the maintenance department; 5. Process time cards for maintenance department;

6. Maintain maintenance records; 7. Complete receiving reports; 8. Type materials required to carry out the functions of the Maintenance Department; 9. Maintain the files for the maintenance department; 10. Open and distribute the maintenance department mail daily;

11. Answer the telephone; 12. Schedule appointments; 13. Other duties as assigned.
