Policy Title: DATABASE SECURITY

In order to achieve the highest possible level of database security at East Central Community College, the College will adhere to the following policies and procedures:  Access to the College’s data center and the Technology Management office will be limited to Technology Management personnel.  Software installations on database servers will be performed by Technology Management personnel or contracted, third-party vendors. Technology Management personnel will be involved with and supervise all software installations.  Access to database passwords will be limited to Technology Management personnel and the software vendor for the SIS/ERP system.  Database access will be approved and maintained by Technology Management personnel.
