Clevelands Look to Take Newton Hall to the Next Level
Randy Cleveland, a 1981 graduate of ECCC, and his wife Nina have made a transformative gift to the Deeply Rooted, Future Focused capital campaign for the completion of the Randy J. Cleveland Innovation Lab. “When I heard that East Central was initiating its first-ever capital campaign, I reflected on the remarkable number of educational opportunities that ECCC has afforded students over the last 95 years,” said Cleveland. “My wife Nina and I knew immediately we wanted to be a part of the Deeply Rooted, Future Focused campaign as East Central was such a large part of my education along with several of our family members. ECCC clearly laid a strong foundation for a wonderful career with Exxon Mobil Corporation over 35 years.” The Clevelands’ donation will directly impact and fund a renovation of the second floor of Newton Hall, the college’s cornerstone academic building on campus. This project will turn the facility into an engineering and business program suite for students. This historic gift is a testament to the Clevelands’ extraordinary philanthropic vision and belief in East Central Community College. Donations such as these will help ECCC in shaping and strengthening the welfare and future of society through education.
