East Mississippi 44, Itawamba 42: Brooks Crabtree's field goal with 58 seconds left gave EMCC a 44-35 lead. Itawamba responded with a touchdown with 24 seconds left and then Damion V'vlllis recovered the ensuing onside kick to seal it for EMCC (3-1) , which racked up, nearly 800 yards of total offense in the game.

East Central 42, Gulf Coast 28: East Central snapped its 13-game losing streak to Gulf Coast, beating the Bulldogs in Decatur. Dom Marino completed 15 of 21 passes for 287 yards and four touchdowns, and Dwayne Barnett added 96 yards on the ground and two scores on 20 carries for East Central (2-2). Kalen \/Vhitlow was 15 for 23 with 192 yards and two touchdowns for Gulf Coast (1-3).

Northwest 38, Mississippi Delta 7: The Rangers dominated, outgaining the Trojans, 455-194, in total yards. Tywun Walters had touchdown runs of 3, 8 and 59 yards and finished with 147 yards on 16 carries for the Rangers, who improved to 4-0.

Holmes 34, Coahoma 12: Quarterback Dejerric Bryant scored two rushing touchdowns in the second half to lead Holmes, which is off to a 4-0 start. Holmes led 20-12 at halftime courtesy of touchdown runs by Treviante McDaniel, Antavius Moody and Matt Fuller.

Pearl River 42, Hinds 20: The Wildcats earned their first win of the season behind Darious Leggett's rushing touchdowns of 3, 3 and 8 yards. Hinds blocked a punt late in the third and then scored on its ensuing drive to make it 28-20, but Pearl River responded with a six-play, 77-yard drive that resulted in a touchdown run by Leggett to pull away.

Northeast 55, Southwest 30: The Tigers tied their school record for most points in a single game, a=rding to their athletics department. Northeast also scored 55 points in a game in 1981. Peyton McMahon returned two strip and fumble recoveries for touchdowns in the game for the Tigers (3-1).
