Robertson departs Kentwood for college job- Hammond Star: Sports ':Being from Kentwood, I grew up there so you know everybody and just to see even though you're leaving, they still back you and understand what you're trying to do and why you're doing it," Robertson said. "I just feel so grateful to have so many people backing me and showing me love and support. That really made me cry. "I really and truly believe that if I never went to Kentwood, this moment wouldn't have happened," she added. "Kentwood has helped me grow up, they've helped me become a better person and they've helped me mentally and in my career. By going back to Kentwood and getting this experience and opportunity, it opened up this door for me. "It was a hard decision and something I went back and forth with, (thinking) 'am I making the right decision?' But I'm happy about the move and I'm going to miss Kentwood and the girls but I'm happy to start a new chapter."
