I'm a Tornado from the cradle to the grave. I've been coming to the games since Marcus Dupree was running the ball. - Marc Stribling ,,

When Marc Stribling left his position as Philadelphia High School's head boys basketball coach in the late 2000s, he said he took with him a couple oflessons he learned during his two year tenure at his alma mater. Stribling's formative years as the Tornadoes' top man appeared to have taught him well as he enjoyed success as Morton High School's .head basketball coach. He now hopes to bring that success back to Philadelphia, where he was named head coach in early July. "When I took the job (back) then, my main purpose was to win, win, win - win at all costs," Stribling recalled. "Now, we had a lot of success at Morton, we went to the (Mississippi) Coliseum two times in four years. The more I coach, the more I realize that if you help the kids build character and teach them how to work, the wins and losses will take care of them

selves."

After graduating from Philadelphia in 1990, Stribling played basketball for East Central the gym. I'm going to try to make the commu Community College for two years before trans- nity and everyone associated with the school ferring to Georgia State University, where he very roud." --~~~~~:Ll
