Top-seed Itawamba completed the regular season with a 33-10 mark and led the MACJC North Division at 21-3. The Lady Indians were ranked 17th in the latest NJCAA Division II poll.
The Lady Diamond Warriors, who finished the regular season with a 32-14 mark and 17-11 record in the MACJC South Division, qualified for the playoff series as the South# 4 eed.
