Patterson leadsECCC golf team Shelby Patterson scores 180 DECATUR - East Central Community College's golf team fmished fourth in MACJC Event #1 held Feb. 3-4 at Diamondhead Country Club in Bay St. Louis. The Warrior linksters posted rounds of 319 and 328 for a 647 total in the 36-hole competition, won by tour– nament host MS Gulf Coast Community College. The Bulldog squad carded a 621 total after rounds of 316 and 305. Sophomore Lee McDill ofNewton Jed EC with a pair of 77's for a 154 total. The Newton County High School product fmished tied for ftfth and qualified for the All– Tournament Team. Other team members and their respective scores include Sawyer Williams of Parkers Chapel High School in Eldorado, Ark., 161 (85-76); Taylor York of Choctaw Central, 168 (80-88); Aaron Tucker of Leake Central, 178 (91-87); Shelby Patterson of Forest, 180 (77-103); and Evan Dowell ofCarthage, 182 (92-90). Chris Clark serves as Warrior golf coach. Other teams participating and their respective scores include Copiah-Lincoln, 624 (314-310); East MS, 635 (314-310); Northwest MS, 655 (338-317); Itawamba, 673 (343-330); Jones County, 691 (345-346); Northeast MS, 696 (348-348); Hinds, 719 (360-359); and Holmes, 737 (372-365). The second MACJC event of 2013 is scheduled March 2-3 at the Eagle Ridge Golf Course in Raymond and hosted by Hinds Community College.
