Cuts ribbon for new science building East Central Community College officials are shown participating in a ribbon-cutting ceremony Tuesday, Feb. 14 to offi– cially mark completion of the Aaron R. Sutphin, ECCC o President; biology instructor Mrs. Ron (Patti) Davis; Dr. Jimmy Hollingsworth of Lake, ECCC Board of Trustees Chairman; and biology instructor Curt Skipper who also serves as division chairman. The $4.1 million facility is named in memory of Ron Davis, longtime biology instructor and division chairman who lost his battle with cancer in April 2006. The two-story facility includes state-of-the art laboratories for science students. State bond funds accumulated in recent years provided the financial resources to complete the much-anticipated addition to the ECCC campus. (EC Photo)
