DECATUR-Theta Xi Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, the interna– tional honor society for two-year colleges, recently held induction ceremonies on the East Central Community College campus, where more than 95 students joined the prestigious organiza– tion_ The purpose of Phi Theta Kappa is to promote scholarship, to develop character and to culti– vate fellowship among academi– cally superior students. Member– ship is by invitation only. To be eligible, students must have earned a 3.5 or better grade point average as a full-time students and have an overall grade point average of 3.5 or better.
