WEEKOF ~ /9 ;;: ECCC Warriors conclude spring drills with scrimmage from combined reports I An intra-squad scrimmage scheduled Saturday, April24 will conclude spring workouts for East Central Community College's football team, announced head coach Brian Anderson. Activities begin at noon at Bailey Stadium on the Decatur campus. There is no charge for admission and the public is invited to attend. Anderson, who is in his first year as head coach after leading the Warriors on an interim basis in 2009, said the squad has made "a lot of progress, especially on defense," following 14 days of workouts. "Our primary focus has been the defen– sive side of the ball," said Anderson, "and Coach (Blake) Frazier (new defensive coordinator) has done an excellent job in getting the guys to play with a lot more tempo. I really like the way the defensive players run to the football ... six or seven guys are making the tackle on each play. Our defense should be much improved in · 2010."
