Warri s split with Hinds C.C. DECATUR - The Ea~t Central Community College Lady Warriors broke out of a recent slump with a 71-57 win over Hinds Community College Monday night. The War riors were unable to complete the sweep, falling 82-67 to the Bulldogs. ECCC returns to action Thursday at Gulf Coast Community College. ECCC women Hinds 71 57. Everybody played and almost everybody scored for the' Lady War– riors as they snapped a two-game losing streak. ECCC improved to 10- 5 overall and 2-3 in the MACJC South Division with the win. "We had to have a couple reality checks in practice the la::.t day or two a nd I think we came out and played with a little more intensity tonight than we did the last couple ballgames." said ECCC women s coach Billy Smith. "W'e wt•re going to give everybody a chance to get in there and try to wear them down and press the whole 40 minutes. I think it worked a little bit. "They didn't make a lot of shots the second half they probably would have if they'd been fresh. We've got to be able to play 40 minute" every night, not just when we want to." ECCC grabbed an early 24-11 lead and took a 38-22 lead into half– time behind four 3-point baskets by Andrea Dubose. The Lady Warriors extended their lead to 44-22 in the first three minutes of the second half. Dubose led ECCC with 16 points.
