The Warriors were clipped 87-84 in overtime and the EC women were outscored 74-66. EC's men held a 74-63 ad\·amage with 4:30 remaining in regulation but the Bears clawed their vway back into the division contest and sent the game into overtime on a late three-point shot tied at 78. Southwest outscored EC 9-6 in the extra period and improved to 7-8 over– all and 1-2 in division play, while the \\arriors dropped to 5-9 and 1-3 under first-year head coach Maurice Bowie. Sophomore shooting guard Earnesto Green of Jackson Provine led EC with 20 pojnts. Also scor– ing were Bryan Johnson, also of Provine, who had

Other point makers were Tawaytha Evans of Newton. eight; Andrea Dubose of Newton Coun– ty, six: Jessica Anderson of Newton, four; and Chotsani Henderson of Newton, Constance Hayes of Provine, Tami– ka Triplett of Sebastopol and Katherine Taylor of Carthage, two each. Carmiel Gamble of Dex.ter tallied 17 points to lead the Lady Bears, who improved to 9-6 and 2-2. Southwest held a 44·37 advantage at the break.
