RECEIVES ENTERGY MISSISSIPPI, INC. SCHOLAR– SHIP: Newton County High School graduate Leah Platt (left) is the 2007 recipient of the Entergy Mississippi, Inc. Excellence in Education Scholarship for Career and Techni– cal Students at East Central Community College in Decatur. Established in 2001, this scholarship recognizes the impor– tance of a well-trained workforce to the future economic success of Mississippi and the role that community colleges play in this success. The recipient is pictured with Entergy representative Cheryl Comans. The award was presented during the College's annual AT&T Scholarship Appreciation Luncheon held Thursday, June 14, in Mabry Memorial Cafeteria.
