ECCC 1 Marley Smith (18-1) sufferrd her only loss of thr year in the semifinal defeat. allowing three runs on four hits during two innings of \\-Ork. In EC's first four games in the tour– nament. slw \\as 3-0 and had thrown 386 pilches in 29 2/3 innings. Sh<' had allowed 15 hits and eight walh v .. hile striking out 22. Lindsay Walker finished the contest on the mound. Clllowing five mns on six hits. EC had several scoring threats dur– ing the game, but could only manage one run which came in the top of the fifth inning. ObH' isha Davis beat out a two-out bunt and Kristin Chaney fol– lowed with a single to left field . Davis scored on a double to the fence in right– center field by Abby Miller. EC. 34 5. stranded nine runnC'rs in the game, including seven in ~coring position. Tlw Lady Warriors left two runners on base in the fourth, fifth. sixth and seventh innings.
