ECCC's Smart wins honors at rodeo

The ECCC men finished seventh in the ovf'rall competi– tion with 75 points. The University of Ten· nessee-Martin won the men·~ division with 275 points. Other colleges and their point totals included 1\.fissouri Valley Col– lege. 200; Univt>rsity of \Vest Alabama. 197.50: University of Arkansas-Monticello. 180; Troy Stale University. L50; Murray State University. 95; and Southern Arkansas University, 40. The University of Ten· nessee-Martin also won the women's competition with 23!1 points. Rounding out the top five were Universitv of West Alabama. 135; Missouri Valley College and the University of Arkansas-Monticello. both with 120 points: and Murray State University, 30.

From school reports MARSHALL, Mo. - East Central Community College rodeo team member Chance Smart of Vardaman won honors in the Bull Riding competition at the season-opening Missouri Valley CollegeRodeo held Sept. 25-27. . Smart won the Short Go competition, finished third in the Long Go and placed secoud in the Average with 157 points, just a few points behind first– place winner Thomas Calliham, a member of the host team, who had 162 points. Drew Walters of Sylva Bay Academy qnd Matthew Burke of Neshob~ Central also quali· fied for the? Bull Riding compe– tition. Zan Tillman of Union advanced to the Short Go com– petition in Cali Roping and placed seventh overall.
