Ne\\'ton County continues to play a major role in the uccess of East Central Commumtv College in Decatur, where enrollment topped the 2500 mark last fall for the first time in the College,s 75-year history. The current spring enrollment stands at 2418, and of that total, 566 students- or 23.4 percent - are from Newton County. Each year, more and more students from Newton County choose to attend ECCC, and their reasons are many.
