The Warriors trailed 52-49 at halftime despite 14 points from Markeith Brown who finished with 22. Winfred Craig scored 15 of his 19 points in the second half to spark EC's comeback. EC, 6-5, also got 11 points from Joe Copeland, 10 from Matthew Roebuck, eight from Kent Chamblee, and six each from Brett Augusta, James Denson, and Eric Scott. Delta got 20 points from Bruce Evans, 14 from Quincy I iger, and 10 each from Marellis Nix and Brian Suber. • EC men 79, Rhodes College JV 55: 'l'he Rhodes junior varsity squad was little FOmpetition for the Warriors in Thursday's meet– ing in Memphis. EC led 53-27 at halftime

EC returns to action on Jan. 4 when both teams host Itawamba. The women's game is set for 6 p.m. with the men slated for 7:45. • EC women 84, Miss. Delta 71: Nicole Cox tossed in 25 points to lead the Lady Warriors to the Dec. 4 win at Moorhead. The Lady Warriors led 39-32 at halftime, but had to hold off a late surge by Delta to earn the win. EC, 9-2, alsq got 18 points and nine rebounds from Alberta Norman, 14 points and five rebounds from Margo Porter, nine points and five rebounds

EC's Denson named 'Player of the Week' East Central Community College freshman James Denson of Walnut Grove recently received MACJC/ Region 23 South Division Player of the Week honors. Denson, a 6-foot, 3-inch for– ward from Choctaw Central, averaged 14.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, four assists and three steals during action against Northwest and Gulf Coast community colleges held the last week in November. with 10 Warriors scoring in the w in.
