Provides ECCC Scholarship..... Ken Jones (center), president of the Decatur branch of Union Planters Bank, is shown presenting a check to East Central Community College President Dr. Eddie M. Smith (right), increasing the amount of the banking system's annual scholarship to the College. Union Planters has pledged $2500 over the next five years for five scholarships per year. The pledge qualifies the bank for membership in the "Twenty-First Club," the College's highest gift club level. In addition to the Decatur operation, othet branch locations in Forest, Philadelphia, Union and Newton participate in funding the scholarship.
