Ovid Vickers will p resent the December Second Sunday session on December 10 at 2:30 p.m. at the Forest Community Center, located at the intersection of Highways 35 and 80 in Forest. For nearly forty years, Vickers has been a member of the faculty at East Central Community College, but his interests and literary activities go far beyond the classroom. He is a published poet, columnist for The Scott Coun– ty Times, a public speaker, a folklorist, and, until his retirement, a classroom teacher. His poetry and articles have been published in numerous magazines and literary journals, and he has been twice honored by the Mississippi Press Association for having the best column in Mississippi weekly newspapers.
