ECCC ADULT STUDENTS ORGANIZE • Non-traditional stu· dents enrolled at East Central Community College In Decatur recently formed an organization called " new Directions" which serves as a support group for older students who are attending college for the first time or those who are returning to the class– room after several years' absence. In the above photo, Joyce Luke, left, of Decatur and a 1990 ECCC honor graduate and Hall of Fame Inductee, chats with Patsy Bryan of Philadelphia who will serve as organization leader for the 1990-91 college term. Mrs. Luke, who led efforts In forming the support group durfng the spring semester, said "New Directions" has been most helpful In assisting non-traditional students as they strive toward college certificates and degrees. "The support given bymembers In 'New Directions' was very helpful to me and I strongly encourage non– traditional students who plan to enroll at East Central to become members of this organization," said Mrs. Luke.
