Orientations slated at ECCC Four orientation sessions are scheduled this summer at East Central Community College in Decatur, with the fli'St session set to begin at 8:00 a.m. Saturday, June 23, 1990. Other sessions are planned for Wednesday, July 18; Tuesday, July 31; and Saturday, August 18. phin, Dean of Students. During orientation, he said students have the opportunity to advance register for classes, take required placement tests and learn of the wide variety of academic, social and personal op– portunities available of East Cen– tral. quainted with ·other students and meet informally with college ad– ministrators and faculty members. Students will further oecome familiar with campus facilities and avoid the feeling of being ll "stranger" upon arrival in the fall . Dr. Sutphin said the only charge for attending orientation is a SSO.OO registration fee which is applied toward fees to enroll for the fall semester. He said lunch is provided in Mabry Cafeteria compliments of East Central. Parents are also encouraged to at– tend orientation and have lunch with students and college officials.
