ECCCWarrior Club donations surpass $7,000 mark to da.te
Support continues to grow for East Central Community College athletics as over fi,OOO has been raised by members of the Warrior Club, announced Lucille Wood, who is nearing completion of her term as president of the fund-raising organization. Wood. a former East Central coach who teaches health and physical education on the Decatur campus, said fundS recetved have been "well spent" to help build a stronger athletic program. She said the largest expenditure to date bas been the S5.560 used to pur– chase various universal weight equipment. The club has also had a large trophy case buill which is on display in the lobby of the Braekeen– Wood Physical Education Building.
Earlier items purchased included an ice machine 'and a speaker system. Wood said Gary Risher of Forest has been selected to serve as presi– dent for the 1991 term. Other officers include Mrs . Patsy Clark of Louisville. vice president. and Dr. H. C. McMillan of Carthage, member– ship chamnan. The club's next regularly schedul· ed mectmg is plaMed for Thursday, Jan. 17, 1991 in the ph}liicaJ educa– tion building.
