Union students have 'Mame' roles Evelyn Pierce of Newton captured the lead role in this year's musical production of "Mame." Philadelphia, Janet Shaw of IJnion, Brenda Munn ,-!
AL on Oboe; Stan Johnson of Louisville, David Waiker of Carthage, and Keith Moore of Carthage on Trumpet; Geedie Simmons of Louis- ville, Jeff Spears of Phila- delphia, and Richard Golden of Forest on Trombone; Gary Rogers of Louisville on Tuba; Scott Lewis and Cindy Brew- e r of Philadelphia on Per- cussion; and Eddie Thorn of Decatur on Guitar and Banjo. Cindy Hamil of Carthage and Allen Muse of Union will serve as assistant directors. The opening will be April 9 and will go through April 13. This year's orchestra includes: Angela Hardy of Philadelphia on Flute; Lou Ann Harper of Louisville, Lori Vance of Lake, and Jackie Wilson of Carthage on Clarinet; Renee Hollingsworth of Lake on Tenor Sax; Charles Burks of Philadelphia on Mellophope; Jeanna Turner of Saraland.
The supporting roles in- clude: Cheryl Gibbon of Hickory who was cast a s "Vera", Mame's best friend. Julie Wright of Louis- ville will play "Agnes Gooch", an innocent girl who goes wild. Ken Hackman of Decatur will play "Beau", a wealthy southern plantation owner. Tammy Taylor of Morton will play "Young Patrick", an adventurous little boy who captures Mames' heart.
