A fourth period touchdown pass from Charlie Morgan to Edward Walker gave the East Mississippi Lions a 73 verdict Thursday night over East I Central Junior College. East Central had scored on a 29-yard field goal by Don Culpepperwith 6:10 to go in the second quarter. The Warriors had made the break to set up the score. Warrior punter Charles Killens, who had a busy night kicking ten times for a 4C~yard average, put one out of bounds on the one, forcing the Lions' back to the wall. The EMJC team couldn't move the ball so Charlie Morgan kicked away from deep in the end zone, with Peter Lucovich returning to the Lions 28. Three ground thrusts gave ECJC a first down, but the Lions stiffened and it was on fourth down that Culpepper kicked his three-pointer. East Mississippi got possession in the fourth period when Stanley Rawson grabbed an ECJC fumble on the Lions , 33.
