The Warriors' scores came on ~n eight yard pass from quar– terback Freddie Bagley to James Wright and a one-yard plunge by Bagley with six min– utes remaining in the game. Rusty McMullan added both extra points to insure the win. Northwest got the ball twice more after East Central's final score, but secondary man Bill Barham twice picked off North– west passes to kill the rallies. Wright Lost For Season

East Central Junior College tripped up Jones 14-3 last week and this week will host Itawamba Thursday night at Decatur. Kickoff is 7:30 p. m. It was quarterback Fredd Bagley of Forest who set up the first ECJC score with a long pass play to Davis Kelly. The ball was downed on the 7 and Floyd Triplett went across with the first of his two scores. Lost for the season, however, was Jimmy Wright of Forest, who was hit hard after cat– ching a pass ;,ind suffered a shoulder separation. --0-

In Easy Victory East Central rolled to its fifth victory Thursday night, romping over Northeast Junior College, 41-7. Robert Warner, subbing fer injured quarterback Freddy Bagley, sparked the offensive attack with touchdown passes of 73 and 31 yards. Willie Hardy also had an outstanding evening with touchdown runs of 45 and -95 yards. East Central jumped out to:a quick lead when Guy Nowell carried the ball in for the games's first score on a 31 yard off-tackle play and Benny Cherry kicked the extra point Johnny Eiland added the next Warrior tally with a six yard burst and Cherry con– verted to give East Central a ·14-0 lead · at the end of the quarter. Cherry made good on a 28- yard field · goal for the next Warrior points then Warner ended the first half scoring with a 73-yard bomb to James Carter, leaving the Warriors out front 23-0 at the halfway mark. · Hardy opened the second half with a 95-yard blast ·off tackle, followed by a Warner:to Jerome Rash scoring strike covering 31 yards. Forest Boys Score Points In ECJC Win

Two Forest boys made all the points in East Central Ju– nior College's 10-9 victory over Itawamba Saturday night and the victory gave ECJC a tie for first place in the north division. ECJC and Holmes have two victories without a loss. Rusty McMullan's 28 ya>.~ field goal in the third quarter proved the margin of triumph to overcome a 9-7 Itawamba lead.
