Policy Title: EAST CENTRAL COMMUNITY COLLEGE FOUNDATION “EXCELLENCE WITH CLASS” AWARD The East Central Community College (ECCC) Foundation honors one currently employed, full-time staff member each year with the “Excellence with Class” Award. Eligible staff members must have been employed in a full time capacity for at least 3 years and be employed in one of the following categories: Professional Staff, Administrative Support Staff, and Institutional Support Staff. The recipient of the “Excellence with Class” Award is honored annually at the Fall Convocation. Nomination(s) must be submitted by currently enrolled students or currently employed faculty, staff, or administrators at ECCC to the ECCC Foundation by the annually announced deadline. Nominations should be made using the appropriate form as supplied by the ECCC Foundation. The nominator must also submit a letter of recommendation with the nomination form. Posthumous nominations are not eligible for submission. Prior winners of the “Excellence with Class” Award will not be eligible to receive the award again for a period of five (5) years. • Exhibits a willingness to take initiative and accept and carry out additional responsibilities beyond regular job assignments; • Is consistently dependable and punctual in reporting for duty, completing assignments, and participating in additional responsibilities; • Portrays a positive attitude toward work responsibilities, co-workers, and customers and serves as a role model for others; • Exhibits exemplary service in their daily work and makes notable contributions to their department and the college; and • Exhibits a willingness to work in a team setting within and/or outside of his/her assigned department. A committee appointed annually by the Vice President for Instruction and the Vice President for Public Information will review all nominations and make the final selection. The winner of the “Excellence with Class” Award is presented a cash award in an amount determined annually by the ECCC Foundation. The cash award is presented on behalf of the ECCC Foundation to the honoree. Selection for the honor is based on the following criteria:
